With nearly 20 years of practice before founding BRAM, she was a founding partner at RMMV and a trainee lawyer at the law firm "Abreu Marques Vinhas & Associados". She joined the Portuguese group "Pinto Basto" as legal director in 2002, having developed her Know-How in the area of Transport Law for over 17 years with special focus on Maritime Law. Was responsible for the representation area of the Mutual Maritime Insurance Clubs (Protecction & Indemnity Clubs), which were represented in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique by Pinto Basto as local correspondent.
Holds various positions, including Chairman of the General Assembly and Secretary of several entities, as well as member of the supervisory board of a STC.
